The Trek Red Truck Racing Team, along with presenting sponsor Mosaic Homes, is proud to be racing Canada’s biggest cycling series, the BC Superweek in Delta, Vancouver, Burnaby, and White Rock, British Columbia.
The team is based in Vancouver, with most of its riders living here, and many of the team sponsors headquartered in Vancouver. The longest running elite road program in Canada, Trek Red Truck supports cyclists on the cusp of turning professional, who are also pursuing higher education with the help of a team scholarship fund.
The Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix provides a unique opportunity for team supporter Allstream, because their office is located on Cambie Street in Gastown, right in the middle of the Gastown GP course. Trek Red Truck riders will be warming up in a special area in front of the Allstream office, and wearing a special edition skinsuit designed for the Gastown Grand Prix.
“Gastown is one of those iconic races that every rider looks forward to all year long. Dreams of winning a BC Superweek race keep the athletes motivated on long training rides through our wet Vancouver winters,” says team director Dave Vukets.
Such large races on home turf will bring out all the team supporters, friends and family to add to the great atmosphere in the hosting buroughs of the Greater Vancouver Area.
The strength of the 2013 roster is evident through the team’s numerous wins leading up to Superweek, including:
1st place, BC Provincial Road Championships (Men’s and Women’s)
1st place, Banff Bike Fest Final GC (Men’s)
