The start-finish line of the Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix is at the intersection of Cambie and Water streets, site of Gastown world famous steam clock. Riders will travel west from Cambie & Water into the hairpin turn at Water and Cordova. From there they’ll ride east on Cordova past The Cambie and past Army and Navy before turning left onto Carrall Street and left again around the Gassy Jack statue and back onto Water street towards the steam clock.
Where to Watch the Race
Because the Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix is a criterium (circuit-style race), virtually any position along the race route will provide an excellent position to watch the riders complete lap after lap of this challenging course.
No tickets are required — just come out and enjoy the race! Standing room is on a first-come-first-served basis, and spots near the Start/Finish line will fill up fast, so make sure to come early.
Thousands of fans will turn up on race day to witness the return of professional cycling to Gastown! For the best vantage points, arrive early. Street closures, added traffic and limited parking will make public transit the best option for getting to and from the race.
A Note for Community Members
The Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix is tremendously appreciative of the support of residents and businesses in the Gastown community. While we are working hard for the race to have as little impact as possible on the surrounding neighbourhood, we appreciate your patience and understanding. Please plan in advance for building access, parking, etc.
